Costaflores and mycelium

In addition to making and tokenizing wine, Costaflores has also made an incursion into the world of mushroom packaging.

The project is being developed by OpenVino and it’s been named 4M3.bio. The goal is to use the waste from the vines (biomass) and mycellium together to create a shock absorvant structure. These structures will be used as containers for bottles: sustainable wine boxes.

On May 26th, Mike Bravo explained the project in full at the Wine Innovation Summit.

Costaflores y micelio

Además de hacer vino y tokenizarlos, Costaflores también es incursora en el mundo del “mushroom packaging” (packaging hecho con hongos).

El proyecto lo desarrolla OpenVino y se le ha dado el nombre de 4M3.bio. Se trata de utilizar el deshecho de la viña (biomasa) y el micelio para que juntos se conviertan en estructuras absorbentes al golpe. Estas estructuras se usarán como contenedores de botellas: cajas de vino sustentables.
