Wine Registration
VeriVinĀ® Vinprint signatures
As an additional measure, with OpenVino we wish to create a spectrographic finger print for all tokenized wines, using the VeriVin wine scanner. Here is an animated description of this process:
This process will involve the following steps:
The winery tokenizing wines will send a number of wine samples to OpenVino HQ to be scanned with the VeriVin scanner. If the wine is very young (not yet permanently bottled), this process will need to be repeated once permanent bottling has occurred.
A VinPrint is generated and the results hashed and written to IPFS.
Annually, during the lifetime of the vintage token, these same bottles are rescanned and the VinPrint updated.
Every time the bottles are scanned, one is bottle is opened, tasted, and consumed by OpenVino tasters.
The total number of bottles to be sent to OpenVino for registration will depend on the number of years the token will be valid. For example, if the vintage token will be valid for 10 years, at least 10 bottles need to be submitted to OpenVino for registration.
