Baussitges Weather Station

We want to implement a RaspberryWeatherPi and Vinduino installation at finca Baussitges, l'Albera, Alt Empordá, Catalunya.

This finca (baussitges.com) is where we plan to extract organic cork for future MTB vintages, and someday plant Torrontés on hillside where grapes once grew pre-filoxera ("Clot de la Vinya").

This project has four primary components:

  1. Extend wifi coverage a la Llosa

  2. Deploy a RaspberryWeatherPi station and LoRa gateway called "hotel".

  3. Deploy a vinduino installation at "Clot de la Vinya".

  4. Represent the data graphically online, using tools from Growing the Grapes: Daily log, and Dashboard.

We want to deploy three tp-link CPE210 wifi access points to extend the wifi coverage at La Llosa.

  • The main access point will be placed atop Marta's house, connecting to the existing network switch that routes to the internet.

  • A second access point should go atop the solar panel mast, providing wifi coverage to Corralet, and most importantly, connecting "hotel" to the internet.

  • A third access point would connect "Casa Nova" to the wifi network, improving internet services for visitors.

"hotel" is the RaspberryWeatherPi station at Llosa. It manages wind, rain, temperature, pressure, and humidity sensors. With a LoRa antenna, it receives broadcasts from the "Clot de la Vinya" vinduino sensors. 

Clot de la Vinya is the experimental site of a Torrontés vineyard for Costaflores Organic Vineyard. This vinduino node will be deployed to track temperatures and subterranean moisture levels.

Once data is collected from the RaspberryWeatherPi and Vinduino nodes at Baussitges, this data needs to be incorporated online, using similar tools developed for "Growing the Grapes".
